THE 2024-2025 SEASON

24/25 is the Calgary Civic Symphony’s 48^th season, one that brings together some familiar and some new elements.

"We are excited to open the season by underlining the important role women play and have played in the creation and performance of music.

Our holiday concert brings back, by popular demand, our friends, The Divas, for a celebration of the season, this time including a fun and beautiful combination of popular Christmas favourites and the traditional New Year’s Eve concert, Viennese style!

In February, we are pleased to present a bird-themed concert featuring the Calgary premiere of Vincent Ho’s new saxophone concerto and the Civic’s first ever performance of Sibelius’ great 5th symphony.

April sees us presenting six of the world’s finest amateur concert pianists, amazing virtuosos from Japan, Europe, the US, and Canada, who, like many of the Civic musicians with whom they will share the stage, have chosen to earn their living in other professions.

To close the 2024-25 season, we are delighted to continue offering Calgary’s best and brightest young stars the invaluable opportunity to perform as soloists with orchestra."
